Empowering women through
the power of craft.

At Arthat Handicrafts Society, we empower rural women artisans to turn traditional craftsmanship into sustainable livelihoods. Through skill development, design innovation, quality support, and direct market linkages, we help build self-reliant artisan communities that earn dignified incomes, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen local economies.

By partnering with brands, CSR initiatives, government institutions, and development organizations, we create livelihood opportunities that are economically viable, socially inclusive, and environmentally responsible.

Stories of Change

Vandana is a married women and mother of two, lives in NaglaKallu village,

Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. Ranjana is very talented and have an eye for details.

She started working on Zardozi craft from DCM initiative of livelihood

enhancement program. She explored and achieved many forms and

techniques during her initial training. She is master now in making Crane

frames.

Ranjana became a part of DCM Shriram Foundation's Livelihood program

run by Arthat Handicrafts Society in Hardoi district in 2025. Her skills of

working on Zardozi craft are enhanced and now she grab the inputs very

quickly. She earn up to 3000-4000 each month to support her family and

fulfil her wishes.
